Trying to connect my 2019 11" iPad Pro to my 2014 Mac Mini

The question is pretty much in the thread title. I understand that the Mini has 2 Thunderbolt 2 ports. How would I connect my USB-C iPad Pro to this computer? I did some Google searching, but found a lot of articles concerning the newer Thunderbolt 3 ports.

EDIT: In the thread title, I meant my 2018 iPad Pro.
