Trying to decide?!

Hello,

I decided about a week ago I would go all out and get highest end 27" iMac but now i'm deciding which upgrades to get. I do light video editing, a good amount of work in xcode and gaming in bootcamp (I want be be able to run pretty much every game for the next two years, low or high settings I don't mind), I usually have about 8 apps open at once so I decided to get 8GB ram (not from apple). But i'm trying to decide between i5 or i7, if I need ssd and if I need the 2GB graphics card, I upgrade macs every other update.

I had the same questions

Go with the i7 , the SSD + 1TB and the 2GB GPU upgrade. If you don't, you will alway kick yourself. You are dropping a dime anyway what's a fees more dimes?

If money isn't an issue, then max it out. If you have to cut something, then my recommendation would be to cut the SSD. I maxed out my i7, but held off on the SSD. I'll just add it in when prices are more reasonable.
