Hello folks! I have just bought a new mac mini but there is no adapter in the box to hook it up to my vga monitor can anyone please let me know if there is an adapter to do this. Are there any cheap ones around too or ones that I can get from the apple store?

Many thanks for your help,

Mac Mini

Yes, such adapters exist. They will probably cost more at an Apple Store. You can search online and pay shipping, or go to a "bib box" electronics store (call first) and get it for less.

Your mac mini can use a mini-DVI to VGA adapter or a MiniDisplayport to VGA adapter. The pricing will likely vary since you're a resident of Canada.

To the OP, I'd recommend the Mini-DVI-->VGA route as opposed to MiniDisplayPort-->VGA. The MDP-->VGA can be finicky at times, especially with larger LCD TV's (best I've found is a ground issue with the conversion). On the Mini's spec page from Apple, they even list Mini-DVI-->VGA as the suggested method for connecting a VGA device.
