I can't seem to figure out how to get it too work. The phone is coming up with a passcode but I can't find where to put it in my itunes. can anyone help?

i think that you have to enter the passcode on your iphone first then it will sync with itunes.

Dude, give people more than 5 minutes to respond to your thread. Bumping isn't allowed.

Anyways, when you open iTunes with Remote running on your iPhone, you should see a 'shared' symbol on the left hand side. Clicking on that should bring up the screen to enter the code.
Good luck.

The pass code lets the iPhone/iPod touch access iTunes as long as they are on the same network. Pass code is for portable device only.
iTunes

Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
Connect iPhone or iPod touch to a Wi-Fi network that is connected to the local network that your Mac or PC is also connected to.
Open the Remote application on your mobile device.
Select Add Library in the Remote settings screen.
Remote will display a 4 digit passcode. In iTunes select the name of your iPhone or iPod touch in the Devices list and enter the passcode.
Remote will be paired with iTunes and you can begin browsing your library using Remote and select a piece of content to play.

gauchogolfer nailed it. When the Remote app is running, the iPhone will show in the left frame in iTunes. Select it to enter the code.
