I'm looking locally on offerup for a 13 pro, I choose the 13 pro because of the 6gigs of memory compared to the 4 on the 12 and 13 basic, also the 6.1 is the size I want to try as everyone says it's the best overall size.

So I'm looking locally and I see one for 600 but locked to tmobile, I have US Mobile..

So I was thinking and I don't know if it's allowed but using a unlocking service but I don't know if they're legit or mostly scams or second just going to Metro PCS and changing over my service.

I was also considering the 14 basic since it's also 6 gigs and I was thinking about a older Nike Edition SE 44mm watch for under 200.

Good move?

I can get the 12 for a little less but uses more battery and older tech, also 4 gigs...

I'll just answer the unlocking part. Here's how it works.

Third party unlock services find employees inside a carrier that can unlock phones for them. They either pay the employees a fee to do this or they exploit the employee to install unauthorized software on company computers that allows the unlock service to access systems from the outside for unlocking devices.

Either way, it's unauthorized and for carrier employees it is a fireable offense. A few years back AT&T sued certain employees because they had installed unauthorized software. It was only detected because unlock request activity was being made in early AM hours when the facility was closed to employees.

So, that is the morality of it. If that offends you, don't use an unlock service. If you don't care then at least you know how it works.

PS. Buy what you want, not what 'everyone' says is the 'best'. I happen to disagree with 'everyone' and will choose the size of the Plus/Max phone every time - because that's what I think is the best size (for me).
