Trying to import Sony DV taped video into iMovie

Anyone have a simple step by step or instruction on how to do it? Or is it even possible?

If you mean miniDv tapes, you will need to connect the camcorder to your Mac with a Firewire cable. iMovie should then recognise the camcorder and open the import window. However, Sony camcorders are notorious for having problems when trying to import into Macs.

Note, a Firewire connection is the ONLY way to import from miniDV camcorders.
