In doing this, would it be a good idea to have 2 versions of an itunes library going? one for use on a pc windows platform, & one for use on a mac platform? for example; on my external hard drive for music; Sossity's itunes library mc formatted, & the same Sossity's itunes library PC formatted? these would basically have the same content or albums, but be 2 for each platform.

or would it be best to just have a single library, & when & if I have to switch to either from mac to windows or windows to mac, to figure out a way to import it?

nobody can answer this? nobody has tried to move an itunes library across windows or mac?

I would like to get an idea as I have many albums I will load & would like to get this established at the start.

From my experience, an iTunes library is an iTunes library. It is cross-platform as long as the computer you are moving TO has the same or a newer version of iTunes.
