Trying to order iPhone 4 from apple.com...

Okay, am I doing something wrong? I fill in all the eligibility information and it says I qualify for the $299 32GB iPhone pricing. I click continue then it says "We were unable to complete setup online. To finish creating your account, visit an Apple Retail Store starting on June 24th."

I want to order it and have it shipped but it's not letting me. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong? Everyplace is out of stock so this is my only option. I'm getting frustrated... 😡

New iphone or upgrading?

My wife had the same result but since it's her first iPhone I wasn't surprised (she is coming from a Sony-Ericsson). My iphone4 was an upgrade and my order went straight through.

I just tried to order today and it told me the same...this order was for an eligible upgrade. Does anyone have an idea why?

Just order it from AT&T. It will come in faster anyway.

I would order from at&t instead but I have an Apple gift card that I would like to use.

I was able to order mine today without any problem. that was about 8:00 pm ET this evening.
