trying to remove vista

im trying to remove vista and bootcamp from my macbook

i formatted the efi partition and deleted it.
the bootcamp assistant wont let me restore the disk to a single volume

it seems like i have to reinstall mac os x.

any ideas?

I'm not sure how analagous your situation is, but does anything in this thread help?

Are you saying you have no backup image of the OS X partition and you want to re-join the two partitions? You may be able to use something along the lines of the suggestion about three replies down in that thread.

Can you boot into Mac OS X? If so, create a backup.

what if i just want to reformat the ntfs partition?

disk utility doesnt let me do anything to that volume.
