I've been trying to sell my 42mm SS SB with BSB. It was replaced by Apple 2 days ago. I have tried Craigslist and eBay with no success. I have a lot of low ball offers ($300). The most I have been offered is $375. At this point, I'm wondering if I should just keep it.

It does have Applecare, but if I sell it cheap, I'm not including it.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Just to give you an idea, I paid 450.00 shipped with AppleCare until 12/17 2 months ago. It's a space black SS model also.

I would just be patient I sold my SG Sport on eBay for $300 plus shipping and I had AppleCare+ on mine till April 2017. I also got some really laughable low ball offers like $190.

I was shocked to see the retail value of these watches plummet so much. Definitely a surprise since most Apple products hold their value so well.

Yes the black sport band. Either way the watch alone was 500 retail and the cost of tax and AppleCare puts it around 600.

Someone paid $300 for a used Sport? I just got my AWS 2 weeks ago brand new on the $100 off sale from Best Buy so I only paid $249.

You're trying to sell a used low-end SS model, but what price range were you hoping for? B&H is currently selling the 42mm SB with BSB for $499 brand new (after $100 off), so you aren't going to get anywhere close to that.

Also, experienced sellers will tell you that AC+ doesn't add much in term of resale value. 9 out of 10 times when a seller asks after the fact (sale) if they want to keep AC+ for $50 more, they decline so they end up getting the prorated refund.

I think the market value of the AW is such that you will be hard pressed to get a great price. I think the low ballers understand this and while they're trying to take advantage of the situation, it doesn't mean you will get all that you want for it. I don't have any advise, other then waiting and trying other avenues as other stated.

So, what is the price I should expect/settle for?

42mm stainless steel space black with black sport band and red sport band. Just replaced by Apple 3 days ago.

$375 is my highest offer so far. Should I settle for that or wait it out?

Heck, I'll give you $380 if you can't sell it.

It looks like most of the recent eBay sales are in the $350 - $400 range and trending lower. My hunch is that high-$300 range is pretty good.

Which leads me to the conclusion that I may be better off keeping it.
Depends on your motivation for selling. If you are not wearing it, and you want to obtain its maximum value, then you might as well sell it now. You would be gambling that it might appreciate from its current used market value.

If you will continue to use and value it if, then hang onto it.

Why did you want to sell it? Have you stopped wearing it or you simply wanted a different model?
I'm looking to buy the Air 3/Pro (whatever the name of it is) and I wanted to get a little more money towards it.

I do wear it, but it hasn't proven very accurate for running (bought a Garmin) and notifications were weak (so Apple replaced it).

I think your best bet is to wait until the $100 off sales are finished and post it for sale the next day. That way people who were interested in the sale price but missed it might be searching eBay in a buying mood.

or Apple announces a new watch in a week and the value drops to $250

Be patient. A buyer that actually wants that watch will give you fair value. Most buyer only want to buy because it's cheap not because they need it. I sold a tv for $300 last week on CL. Had the ad up for a month. Most people offer $200. Finally a lady who needed a tv for her kids room offered me $300, the price I listed it as. Most buyers assume you are selling because you are broke.

Found a guy on CraigsList selling a Space Grey Sport, 42mm, w/ extra band, AppleCare, and original box for 215. Should I jump on this if I can?
