So, trying to send a picture via iMessage crashes the 4S for me. I'm pretty sure it's not my problem alone, as I duplicated this problem on three other 4S's.

Here's how it happens:
1) Open up Messages, and select the picture(s) you want to send to your iMessage buddy.
2) Use Dictation to say a blurb.
3) Tap Send and watch the Messages.app crash.

An even more peculiar problem is when you go to Photos.app and select the picture(s) you want to send, hit Message, type in your iMessage buddy's name, tap Send... only to find out that the picture(s) are never actually sent, and don't even show up on Messages.app.

Anyone know any solution to this problem?

I had something like this happen on my iPhone 4, it happened after I upgraded to iOS 5.0.1

I had to go into settings, messaging, turn off mms, then reboot my phone.

once rebooted I had to turn mms back on, then reboot again.

it seemed to work for me after that :)

It's a known issue if you dictate the message.

Yeah, a temporary "workaround" is to just type the message and then Message them.

The other issue is really peculiar though: why don't the pictures send, or show up in Messages.app when you try to Message them?

I really hope they fix this soon.

Yup, crashed my 4S, too! I'm running 5.0 though... didn't upgrade to 5.0.1. Has it been fixed in 5.0.1, or is it still there?
