FaceID works impressively most of th time, but the times it doesnt is frustrating like in bed/with a lot of bright lighting/sunglasses sometimes in the car at stop lights, etc etc

Any one else experimented with this?

I think 100% success rate of passcode might be where its at for me, on this one, as much as FaceID has some nice stuff going on

It can always compliment FaceID, but thats more wasted time when it feels, and you re-position the phone

No this isnt a troll thread, and yes I’m an X owner, and no my X isnt defective

For me, TouchID gen2 has been WAYYY better. I miss it

It seems to be less of an issue with the attention setting turned off. I would say the accuracy rate with Face ID is approximately 95% or higher regardless with sunglasses or different positions using It more regularly.

Otherwise, if you find touch ID better, the iPhone 8 is an option.

I turned off the require attention option and it has been pretty flawless for me ever since. The only time it doesn't work is when I hold it too close to my face, which is occasionally. I still feel the benefits outweigh the few times I have had to revert back to a passcode. Just my two cents.
