TS2 performance on gma macbook

Ive been thinking about getting the Sims 2 but i dont know if my GMA 950 will do good frame rates.
 
I don't have the mac versions of TS2 but I do own The Sims life stories which would better suit Macs with GMA graphics.
 
I did play The Sims 2 on my GMA MacBook, and it was a fairly painful experience, IMHO. Mind you, I am not one to complain about frames rates too much, but when zooming/panning the camera stuff became really choppy, and this was at low quality graphics too. I have never played Life Stories but it is supposed to be a lot better for the GMA950. I may see if the Sims (original) plays well (since it may still run under Rosetta).
