even if you cant tell us the magazine name at least tell us if your magazine is one that would typically be aware of update, and/or is of high standing in the technology/mac realm

I guess we'll know whether or not there's any truth to this pretty soon. I honestly hope the OP proves us all wrong, but I don't think that's going to happen.

well the guy was banned, so i really doubt any annoucement tomorrow.
Maybe Apple will send out invites to a keynote in Cupertino to announce the new notebooks.

Don't know why the OP was banned. Not my business but please use some common sense kids. Here's what he said :

I hope this is to announce an update to the MBP. I was going to get one Sunday until he just called me with the news. I guess I can wait a couple of more days."
Wouldn't you think some other media would have been emailed also ?

Unfortunately, yeah. From what I remember we usually hear from all the rumor sites when Apple sends out press invitations. I'd love to be proven wrong as I'm dying to see new MBPs but I just don't think it's going to happen today.
