Tumblr Acquired by Yahoo, iOS App Gets Redesigned User Interface

Hopefully is not the end of Tumblr as we know it.

When Twitter acquired Posterous —a good but unpopular blogging platform— must of us expected the end of the original Posterous concept. It closed last month as predicted.

On the other hand, Flickr was acquired by Yahoo and has improved and kept servicing the photography community as originally intended.

My question stands.

Yahoo is still Yahoo's name, regardless of what its powered on. The majority of people in the world won't even know what 'powered by Bing' means. I stand by my statement. It is the brand that people recognise after all, not the technology underneath it.

Stacks is probably my least favorite feature design of OS X. I don't understand the functional point of having the files at an angle and I don't like it aesthetically either.

I guess it might be helpful for left-handed people in the Tumblr app but I doubt that's why they did it.

Agreed. There are a handful features that I never use (either deliberately or naturally) and Stacks is one of them. I'm just glad Stacks isn't used when you put the dock on a side of the screen.
