ok so i have recently reinstalled mac os x again.. and i need to re-import all my music from a dvd into itunes. i have already gone past the set up utlity nad i have some other music on it already. so is there a faster way of importing all these 1000s of song rather than clicking on them one by one?

I haven't done this before, but can't you just click on "Add to Library" and then select the DVD?

How is the music stored on the DVD? is it all in the root of the DVD, or in separate folders? If they're all in the root, then just highlight all of them and drag them into the iTunes window to the Library in the left.

Otherwise, if you copied the Music folder on your HD onto the DVD, and preserved the structure, then just replace the music folder in your home directory with the old one (while iTunes isn't running)?

But if he's already put music onto his new install, he'll lose it by doing that...
