Turbo 264 and Visualhub/Handbrake

Has anyone used the Turbo 264 paired with Visualhub or Handbrake? Elgato's site says that in addition to the bundled software, it supposedly works with many third party programs. I thought of using this combo to take the load off my Macbook's processor, which reaches 90C when I convert videos.
 
It doesn't work with Handbrake. It only works with QuickTime Pro and third party programs at uses the QT codec. Handbrake uses some other codec for H.264 encoding.
