    Hi All,

It has been approximately a month since I purchased an 1.1.2 OTB from the Apple Store. I heard rumors regarding a new firmware (1.1.3) that Apple was supposed to release earlier this month that never happened. I have been patiently waiting ever since. Nobody is sure when this new firmware is coming out now. My guess is January, therefore I want to wait, however I am so anxious to use my phone so I am asking for anyone's opinion on what I should do.

Purchasing the TurboSIM(StealthSIM) which fools the phone into thinking it has an AT&T card and it is not the proper way to unlock. I have also heard it the most secure solution available for your iPhone as there is no need to share your IMEI with any third party or install software on your phone which could permanently damage your phone.

Waiting for the new firmware sounds like the best option, however that too can do damage to my phone if not done correctly and the new firmware release is not written in stone. So I am stuck on what choice to make, I would appreciate if anyone can give my any advice.

i turbo simmed my 1.1.2 iphone so i could use it on t mobile instead of at&t . it works like a dream. i jailbroke my phone aswell so i could use 3rd party apps.
i couldnt be happier with what i have got and done to my iphone. best decision i made was to turbosim it as i was like you waiting to buy a 1.1.2 iphone until the unlock arrived but having heard that it could take months i bit the bullet and did it....

But it will not unlock 1.1.2 OOTB (bootloader 4.6) phones.

I think the 1.1.3 won't come out... until the Chinese rumor about the unlock is revealed (True or False).

IF True: Apple is reading forums like this to keep ahead of the hackers... with all the buz about this unlocking, I believe that they will hold the new firmware and see how Myky unlocked the v1.1.2 so they can make sure that v1.1.3 is unlockable!!!

If False: They will release the 1.1.3.

Anyway why to rush? The Macworld is only 19days away... Until then we/and Apple will know if the unlock is true...

If you want to use your iphone buy a TurboSim / StealthSim etc and you are OK...

which turbosim to get from Bladox's website?
there's the Turbo BRA, Turbo mini, Turbo SIM blank version (which does not include iPhone circumventing application)
common sense says the turbo sim blank version is the way to go, but "does not include iPhone circumventing application" is kinda worrying

I believe you have to flash the turbo sim with the original sim that's in the iphone, in addition to your own sim.

So Blank version might be it. Although they are hard to find right now.

sounds quite technical indeed. is it something a normal person with a normal comp can do?

and when do you think the supply will meet the demand? I know it's quite pointless to ask, but just curious what people think.

I would say that if you have to ask this question, then you probably shouldn't try it... otherwise you would've researched it yourself already.

Google. A few months ago there were instructions on how to program the blank TurboSIM. You need it and a programmer device. The idea is that your SIM sits inside the TurboSIM, which intercepts certain phone requests and pretends to be on AT&T.

Alternatively, there are companies that sell similar items ready to go. Check out something called StealthSIM, for instance.
