turn by turn apps?

has there been any rumors or truths of turn by turn apps for the the OS. i have read before where tomtom and or someone else may be working on something like this? just curious!

Only in 3.0.

yeah i knew it wouldnt happen till 3.0 was fully released. but i would rather have an app for my phone that would do it then go buy a gps device.

Having 3.0 isn't necessary.

3.0 adds programming aids for smaller apps to know which way you're moving, from the GPS changes.

Companies that do TBT apps already have their own way of doing that.

G-Map has a turn-by-turn app for the iPhone.
