This started happening to me on beta 4. Don't actually know if it's a bug or a new feature. Before… When I would be using navigation, the whole lock screen would be used to show the map and stuff. And the time and "slide to unlock" was kind of overlaid on top of the map.

Now… I only get map in the little window between the slide to unlock bar and the upper time and date area. Kind of like how it was on iOS 6.

Anyone else?

EDIT: I have a picture, but it doesn't seem to want to upload from my phone. Maybe another iOS 8 bug?

Thats a part of the redesign of iOS 8 maybe?

That picture upload seems to be a bug that I've been reading about on here.

It seems to be a design change that will make much more sense on a bigger screen. Which iPhone 6 is supposed to have. So unless they change it in the next beta, it's here to stay.

Well okayyyyy. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't JUST happening on my phone, haha.

It does make distinguishing between locked and unlocked navigation easier. It also allows for the Handoff/Suggested App and Camera icons to be seen clearer.
