Hi all

When I want to turn off display in MacBook Pro 2017 non touch bar I just press.

Control + Shift + Power.

Before that changed in Energy Saver > Turn display off after > Never.

Although display has turn off torrent downlod would still active.

Does this way also work in MacBook Pro 2018 ?

Thank

You just put it in sleep, it wouldn't actually go to sleep while connected to power and doing torrent.

Just use the screen saver that has the message on it. I use that since the screen is mostly blank.

When I had put in sleep in MacBook Pro 2017 it really sleep and torrent would stop download.

That is reason I just want turn off display and not in sleep condition.

A couple of ways to do this.

A) You should be able to adjust the screen brightness slider to off either through System Preferences or brightness slider on the TouchBar. Obviously it is easier on the TouchBar since that doesn't disappear when the screen goes dark.

B) The faster and easier way is with Hot Corners and set one or more to put the display to sleep.

  1. System Preferences --> click “Mission Control”
  2. Click “Hot Corners” in the lower left corner of the control box
  3. Set each screen corners you want to use to “Put Display to Sleep”
  4. Close System Preferences and test the Hot Corner by sliding your cursor into that screens corner
