I often flag emails in Mail for later reference, and, so I can always keep track of them, I sort my emails by flagged, which puts all the flagged ones at the top, then goes down the most recently received from there.

My problem comes when I receive an email marked as a high priority (!!). Mail puts it up with my flagged emails but I don't want it up there, I want it to disappear into the abyss with my other emails. How do I remove those exclamation points?

I ended up forwarding the email back to myself and removing the priority and deleting the original. Is that the easiest way of doing it?
