Turn off Live Photos?

I got my iPhone 6S on Friday and I don't really like the Live Photos feature. Is there a way to turn it of? I can't find a way to do it in settings. If I send a Live Picture to one of my friends, they don't get a picture.. they sort of get a gif. which is annoying when you actually want them to see a picture and not you picking up the phone and putting it back down after taking the picture. Anyone's with me?

Yes. Open the camera app and you will see a circle icon at the top that will let you toggle Live Photos on and off.

Hmm, I have sent to android and blackberry and they just get the picture, like a jpeg.

That makes sense. Only iOS and OSX is going to recognize the live photo.
