Hello! I’ve looked everywhere for a solution but can’t find one and there may not be a solution.

But I have a new iPhone 16 pro max. It has a dedicated camera button. I’ve gotten rid of the annoying little widget on the Home Screen for the camera. But I also want to get rid of the swipe left to camera because I always accidentally engage it AND I now have a dedicated camera button. I absolutely don’t need to swipe left for camera.

Is it possible, somewhere in the settings, to get rid of this annoying “feature”?

I like you have a look at the camera settings in settings every update to see if they have done something about this!!! I even send my feedback via twitter and their feedback app and still nothing. The amount of times I’ve activated the camera as I put it in my pocket and the battery drains 😩

Yep just been thinking this, it’s shameful of Apple to think we need this perm on by default!

They should allow us the option to turn this off in settings

Some geek in Apple in charge of Camera software probably digging their heels in…..😤

I despise this so-called "feature" so much. I mostly accidentally activate it when swiping away notifications. I used to have it activate sometimes in my pocket as well, but don't seem to have that issue anymore at least.
