HomePod Turn TV on with HomePods

I have a Samsung TV set my problem is I can turn my Apple TV HD off with HomePod and my Samsung TV but when I try to turn them on I can only turn both on using my Apple TV remote if I as Siri to turn them on only my Apple TV comes on.
