R RRIVERA APPL macrumors newbie Original poster May 30, 2018 #1 I was able to wake Apple TV with HomePod but can not turn it off/sleep. Anyone tried this command? Reactions: tromboneaholic
O OutGolfn Cancelled May 30, 2018 #2 I’m seeing the same behavior. I can have the HomePod/Siri turn on Apple TV and actual TV, but the “Hey Siri turn off Apple TV” does not work currently. Hopefully Apple addresses this in next update as I have submitted feedback to them. Reactions: tromboneaholic

BlankStar macrumors 6502a May 31, 2018 #4 I'm at work so can't test, but maybe try other commands? Since you never really turn it "off". Can you make the screensaver pop up?

Click to expand... It's able to use HDMI to turn the connected TV on. The screensaver doesn't turn the connected TV off again...

actcyclist macrumors 6502 May 31, 2018 #7 I get the message saying it's paused. It then turns off the Apple TV after 15 minutes, which also turns off my TV and soundbar.

DNichter macrumors G3 Jun 4, 2018 #10 What do you say to turn on the TV? "Hey Siri, turn on the Living Room Apple TV" - would that work? I have mine named "Living Room Apple TV".

BlankStar macrumors 6502a Jun 4, 2018 #11 I always wake it up by letting it play some music. Haven't tried "turn on". "Hey Siri, play some music on the Apple TV in the living room"
