Hi all, I am a musician and a new MBP user (just bought an intel).

I plan on using the notebook for live performances, and when I was talking to a buddy of mine in another band that does the same thing, he told me that the MB's have this sensor inside of them that makes the machine freeze up when you drop it, so there isn't any damage to the HD or whatever. And that during live performances, the vibrations from the speakers can set it off. He said there was some way to turn it off, and I'm wondering how to do this?

I dont think that the vibrations from smeakers will set it off.

yeah but these would be pretty heavy vibrations... you don't think it would set off the sudden motion sensor?? Hmm, according to my friend they can... I would just rather know how to turn it off and on for shows than hoping it doesn't happen.
