I am mostly enjoying the Apple TV 4 since I got it last fall, but there's one thing I'm wondering about. When I turn on my Apple TV, it turns on my Sony television, but not my Pioneer receiver - however, the Siri Remote does control the volume on my receiver.

I find it odd that the Siri Remote controls the volume on my receiver, but not the power or input. Could mine just be setup incorrectly? Or is everyone's like this?

Ideally, what I would like is that when I turn on the power from the Siri Remote it turns on the Apple TV, television, receiver and if needed changes the receiver input from BluRay to Apple TV.

You will have to enable CEC control on the receiver itself. I had this issue until I used the receiver's remote to dig deep into the menu to enable CEC. After doing so the Apple TV will turn everything on and switch to the proper input.

Thanks a lot, guys! Enabling the CEC did it and I'm very happy with how convenient this is.
