TV app on mac showing "There's a problem loading this content"

I have a lot of older home movies offloaded onto my NAS to save space on my Mac, not content that I have from streaming but up to now they played perfectly on the Mac and I hadn't played any for a while but decided to play one today.

On macOS 27 they almost all won't play and pop up saying "There's a problem loading this content" so first bit of evidence that it isn't an auth issue against the NAS.

The second bit of evidence that the app can fully retrieve the content from the NAS is that if I connect from my iPad in Home Sharing to my Mac ALL the videos play perfectly.

Incidentally it isn't a missing codec on the Mac because a tap preview in finder plays the movies perfectly.

I solved this. I upgraded last night to the RC and still had the problem.

I had a good look at the logs and found '"my title" couldn't be opened because you don't have permission to view it' and immediately thought Sandbox.

There is no option to manually add TV app to the list of apps allowed to access local area network and whatever I tried I couldn't get anything to prompt me to do this.

I thought I would just try something, I went directly to a video that would not play from the NAS and dragged it into TV again as to re-add it hoping for a popup.. nothing, however, after that ALL the videos would play.

Just rebooted and I can confirm this fix persists once you have done that.

I can't really explain why the one video that I tried that did work this way played other than I actually had a copy on my Mac HD also so it may have done some tracking in the background to find the file.

Clearly dragging a file from a network source to TV app is enought to greenlight the access for the Sandbox again.
