TV OS 13 a little slower on ATV HD

Downloaded TV OS 13 and it has slowed down my ATV HD unit a little more. It still works fine for most things but sometimes things are slow. Is a fix coming?

Probably due to the A8. It's an incredibly old chip and not that good way back in the iPhone 6 days. Apple should have gone with the A9 as that was on another level.
The ATV HD really needs to be discontinued. IT's 2015 and it's showing its age four years on.

I just upgraded my ATV HD to the latest tvOS and didn't find it any slower; however, I only use it to watch my purchased movie and TV library, Netflix, and YouTube.

Thanks for the heads up. I will keep my ATV4 on tvOS 12 for a while, or maybe forever.

Hard to say.

As I have said before on the ATV forum, I think that ATV's A8 was under-powered at launch. The A8 is now over 5 years old, and your experience might just be the way it is on tvOS 13.

I am sure that Apple could optimize tvOS 13 for the A8, but they probably won't.

Yes, it's made my ATV HD lag even in the main icon menu - nothing too crazy but definitely noticeable.
