Can I make the ATV on OS 26 auto sign into a profile so I dont have to select a person EVERY single time?

TV OS 26 .. Auto Sign in?

Wasn't that a feature of tvOS18? I just assumed no developers were implementing it for whatever reason.
Annoying that it’s on by default with tvOS26 but at least it can be turned off.
I think they want you to try everything. “Look what we made!” If it couldn’t be turned off, my wife was going to burn all the Apple devices.🤣

I turn off showing multiple profiles and to have me auto sign in but the setting never sticks. I change it to off and when I go back into the menu it is always on. And when I wake up the ATV the profile screen is always showing.

I just realized that MacRumors doesn’t have a section for AppleTVOS. So I’m gonna post this here (moderators feel free to move to the correct place, but I don’t think there is one).
Was shuffling between NFL games just now, via EweTube TV (I’ve set it to record all NFL games, which mostly works). Got up to the halftime of the Green Bay/Dallas game, and asked Siri to FF twelve minutes, and she said, in a highlighted white box, “I’m not going to do that.”
What? Wat!?!??! I PAID for you, b-word, don’t you DARE talk back to me!
I hit most of the buttons on my remote to get back to the game, nothing worked; I had to switch channels, then back to NBC, to clear that scolding.
My switch to MacOS 26, and iOS26, went smoothly, no problems noted (despite my ancient iPhone SE v2), let’s not talk about iPadOS 26. AppleTV 26 had been fine (it actually installed here before the official release date for everything) but tonight was the first time she got bitchy with me.
Anyone else see this BS?
