A new beta is out. Has more providers in Single Sign-On including Comcast. Can anyone confirm if Comcast works?

Comcast XFINITY is on the list, but when you select it says something like 'Comcast XFINITY does not support single sign on, we will notify each app and you'll need to sign on individually'

So it is there, but not functional.

With Infuse, you should leave it set to Auto. I know...it doesn't make sense. I talked to one of their developers about it yesterday. The better and higher quality settings is Auto.
  • Auto (recommended): Audio will be sent as uncompressed, multi-channel LPCM (up to 7.1 channels and 24-bit). Additional output adjustments can be made through the Apple TV > Settings > Audio and Video menu.
  • Passthrough: Audio will be sent as Dolby or DTS via S/PDIF (up to 5.1 channels and 16-bit). Note: The 'Reduce Loud Sounds' option in Apple TV > Settings > Audio and Video MUST be disabled.
They should change the labeling/wording of the setting.

Thanks for the info. Although I'm still puzzled why passthrough no longer works.

PB2 Installed and running fine.
Tested with
Youtube
BBC iPlayer
Plex
tvPlayer

I'll fire up the Nimbus Controller and play a few games this eve.

HEVC tagged with hvc1 now show up in the iTunes library on TVOS but won't play. I wonder if this will be added or will only work with new hardware. I'd think the 4 could support 1080p HEVC flawlessly.

Does anyone know if this public beta supports AirPods zero configuration? I am not sure if only newer developer beta supports it or There's an issue with my setup. Thanks.

Nevermind - just saw second public beta came out which is the one that has full AirPods support.

I was informed you have to plug the ATV into a computer to update to beta software, but the option has appeared in the System Update menu. No plug in needed! I’m sure this isn’t news...

I think this is only for the Public Beta and not the Developer Beta which may still required the old method of plugging in. I install the Public Beta this year on a couple ATV's to test the Home Screen Sync.

Possibly. I was angry about the fact that you need a UBS-C cable to connect it to a computer, and Apple don’t include one. But this solved my issue so it’s fine now. :p

Can anyone confirm if iTunes streaming from iCloud does post-play for TV shows? How is this STILL not an option in 2017?
