TV remote built in

    Does anyone know if apple is planning to integrate a universal tv remote into the phone... that would be soo cool.

    I would seriously doubt it.

    Apple has released a free App in the App Store that will control your iTunes library or :apple:TV through 802.11 wireless. That's likely as close as you'll get.

    The iPhone has no infrared port, so no, it's not possible.

    Also, TVs use infra red to communicate which the iPhone does not have built in

    but it's kinda strange.

    since iphone lacks an infrared emitter, this solution encourages to distribute net hooked boxes with ir emitters...
    yes, i call that strange.

    it's afaik about the only way, currently, to get this functionality.
