TV Show trailers looks horrible (not close to DVD quality).

If I pay for a season of a show, will the actual shows look that bad? If so, I'd consider that a total waste of money.

Yes, in iTunes. When I click on a preview, it looks like the footage was shot with a 1970s camcorder. Everything is so grainy and washed out and pixelated.

Something may be amiss with your computer or connection. That has not been my experience and I haven't seen posts of this nature (not that i recall).

All other videos look terrific (youtube, video downloads, netflix, DVDs, etc.)

As an example, I just looked at episode 1 of Top Gear in the TV section. It looks atrocious.

If you have ScreenFlow or the like, how about making a short video so we can see the disparity on your machine.
