iPod TV shows from Japan - when?

Any idea when the Japan itunes store is expected to get TV shows? Movies I don't care about as I'm in the UK, but I'd like to download domestic TV shows for my wife/kids who speak Japanese.

its either that or get my inlaws set up with internet/slingbox.

Actually, Slingbox would work quite well seeing as how internet upload speeds are quite good here in Japan.
