Whose Line Is It Anyway? (UK and US versions)

I used to TiVo both versions all the time, but I've gotten out of the habit recently. It's really the type of show you can watch over and over and over again...perfect for DVD release.
i was just looking into that today. the us versions apparently aren't on dvd. i think they are on season 7 right now btw.. what was your favorite episode? my fav is the one with robin williams. he kinda went over the top, and interrupted the show a bit, but it was still really funny.

whos line really depends on the episode/game. depends weather they are in funny moods. (well depends how funny)

I don't know...so many great games. All the episodes kind of run together in my head, so it's impossible to pick out a favorite.

It was confirmed about six weeks ago that the US version is in the queue for DVD release by Warner Brothers, but there's no release date yet. Here' hoping they're quality releases with full seasons and some out-takes.

oh can' t wait for the dvds..

they do usually run together in my head too, but the one with robin williams was different because that was the only one with him, and i just saw it.

Too good to be... what could have been

Here's one that will never see the light of day EZ Streets. It was canceled after 10 episodes back in 1996. If it were on cable it probably would have lasted longer and earned more critical acclaim. Of course this was long before the Sopranos and the Shield. Oh, wow I just googled it. The show was created, written, and produced by Paul Haggis. Maybe if he wins a few more Oscars this show will eventually get released on DVD.

Oh, I see its $99CA ( bloody expensive ..)

Yikes, that is expensive! I think I'll just hold onto my digital copies for now, and buy Season 1 at a later date when it drops in price... Plus, I'll be too occupied with Season 2 in a month or so, and I have slowly been watching all the old ones as well, so that will keep me busy for, oh I don't know, another year - I'm only up to the middle of the Pertwee series. ;)

Another vote for Brisco County. It rocked, and it's good to see it will be out soon. As well as Deadwood season 2.

Old stuff I'd like to see available: Blake's 7 and Star Cops. Hopefully they'll be as good as I recall them being.

What about the true classics? Something like...Hitchcock Season 3 (he adapted a bunch of Dahl short stories that season). I'd be even happier if it was on iTunes...then I could just by the episodes I want And then take some time to fiure out how to burn it to DVD...

If The Sentinel got a DVD release maybe there is hope for shows that got canceled too soon.

I hear you on that. All my favorite shows always seem to get canceled, but I'm so ordering that Sentinel dvd. Here's to hoping they release 'John Doe'. I know it probably will never happen, but that was the best show.

I'm really waiting for Entourage Season 2. I wish I had HBO.

i was going to say boomtown, but i amazoned it and found season one actually came out. thus, awaiting season two of this great show.
[Edit] Ack, I was wrong. No S2 out. Be that as it may, I suspect there won't be an S2 release; only about 5 episodes of S2 were filmed (and aired).

There certainly won't be a DVD release of S2 if no one buys S1. Get it! :)

I feel a rant coming on about cancelling one of the best shows on TV that appeared in the last decade but I'll bow out now.

Top Gear. Either region free for importation into the States, or region 1 sold here.

Until then, I'll continue downloading it.

I would have thought that NO petrol headed Americans would like Top Gear...

Hope for John Doe

There may be hope for a DVD release of John Doe since the lead actor is also on Prison Break. And they were both Fox shows. If there is a market for The Pretender (can't believe it lasted 3 seasons) then of course John Doe stands a chance.
This is why I am hoping against hope for EZ Streets. If Paul Haggis wins more oscars or becomes a legendary director then maybe.... just maybe there is hope for a DVD release. But those odds are very thin.
Oh, thought of another one. Back in 1997 I think there were a few spy shows on the air, but the one that stood out in my mind was Spy Game on ABC. What I remember the most was that they had to drive their car into a brick wall at a very specific high speed or the doors to their secret head quarters wouldn't open.
Oh another one... The Days. This is the type of show I usually don't watch and would make fun of, but it was just so good. It ran for one season in the summer of 2004. And you know what? One season was really enough to tell the story. The theme song was Butterfly Boucher's "Life is Short". The narration gives it a Grey's Anatomy feel, but much better. It also reminds me of Once and Again which I only started paying attention to at the end.
If you wonder why I keep bringing up EZ Streets most of the people who can remeber it say it could have been the Sopranos by now if CBS had givin it more time.

I have a ton of friends here in the states who love Top Gear. Its one of the only real car shows, not any of that pimp my ride crap that we have over here.
