with all the external tv tuners, like formac, eyetv, startech.com, etc.. i'm trying to use my powerbook g4 as a mobile tv, meaning, when i go to somewhere, i want to just plug in like an RCA powered antenna into a tv tuner and get basic channels.. do you guys know if you can do this with the abovelisted tuners? how do you change channels? what would the reception quality be? and if i did plug a cable box into it, would i then change the channels on the cable box or on the tv tuner?
lastly, does each company use their own tv programming guide on the web or is it universal? oh one more, can you program a time for automatic recording with each one?
last last lastly, with the new usb 2.0 and firewire connections vs usb 1.0, will they all increase quality.. hence, should i wait until the firewire/usb2.0 prices come down? please suggest one for me to buy.. i am looking for one asap..
