Found an issue in 14.3 where album artwork only partly loads on a large library. Album covers album view only partly load and even ones that have loaded and are then selected, dont then show in it in the track list view

Repeated scrolling again only partly loaded a few additional covers then loading stopped.

Only solution I had was to reinstall 14.2 and I’m back to lightning loading of artwork almost instantaneously

I just updated to Big Sur from High Sierra and I'm having all sorts of problems with Homeshare and my large library. I have an ATV 4k with 14.3 and a few ATV 3's that are having issues displaying album art. All of my album art is embedded and shows just fine in the library on my Mac. I also noticed duplicates of a few smart playlists on devices using Homeshare but there are no duplicates showing in my library.

In addition, Homeshare is still completely broken for Homeshare in iOS. I'm sure Apple is doing this on purpose to push their streaming services but is still frustrating that my ATV can instantaneously load my library but my phone (12 mini running 14.3) takes 15 minutes if it loads at all. I have an alternative app called "Stream to Me" that works perfectly and instantly from both my home network and remote. The drawback is it doesn't update play counts which several of playlists depend on.

I noticed the music app doesn't update play counts from while using Homeshare on my older Mac's or Brand new Thinkpad running the latest Windows 10.

I really don't want to leave the Apple ecosystem for my curated media but I am getting closer with each MacOS/iOS update.

For me it seems to have been my 5TB USB non powered external media drive. As soon as I flipped it back to use my back up drive, a mains powered desktop drive, all album artwork loads almost immediate for the 1000 albums plus 800 movies.

I have however stayed on 14.2 for the time being.

I have several issues myself: How do you go back to 14.2?

Download the ipsw file and restore via iTunes using option restore combo
Thanks but
We are talking about Appletv, correct? My question is how can you restore if the iOS is not signed by Apple any longer ?

Download the Apple TV 14.2 ipsw file onto your computer. Plug your ATV into your computer and open iTunes , select the ATV in devices and press Option and Restore and then select your ipsw file.

I believe you can only restore signed you are correct

Because you wrote that you cannot use it if it’s not signed anymore, I was wondering how where you able to restore it if it wasn’t signed.

I got it, you have a tvOS for a different TV , mine for tvOS 4k is not available , not even 14, the latest showing up is 13.4.8 at ipsw.me. : maybe it's a sign 😊
Thanks anyway for all the infos!

I have 3 AppleTV 4Ks and all of them are having issues when I’m using home sharing. It’s random, however the video/audio will just freeze.

can't do a restore like that on the 4k anyway, it doesn't have the USB port the 4 (now called HD) does
Sorry I didn't realize the 4K had lost the USB port, I only went as far as the standard 4HD model as all my content on my external drive isn't any higher definition than 1080p so saw no point in the 4K ATV

My 4K TV will upsample HD to sudo 4K and has built in Prime and Netflix which if I decided would stream 4k from there instead of the ATV.

Apologies. But I'm back on 14.2 and everything is working correctly again.
