tvOS 15.5.1 released today (25 May 2022)

Apple released tvOS 15.5.1 today.

Probably some bug fixes. I have personally started having Dolby Atmos issues with some content on TV+ using the ATV 4K 2017 since the 15.5 release. So hopefully this fixes that issue.

This update addresses an issue where music could stop playing after a short time.

It appears to have addressed an issue I was having with Dolby Atmos being silent when trying to watch episodes of Prehistoric Planet. When trying to watch the first three episodes there was no sound at all. However, after I selected a different show to watch sound would return and then I could go back to the Prehistoric Planet episode and sound would work there too. Odd behavior that I never encountered until after updating to 15.5. 15.5.1 seems to have fixed that issue.

I think it's rare for tvOS to release without an equivalent iOS version.
