After update a tvos 16 I have problem with wifi connection. It has become much slower and unstable. Does anyone have the same problem?
No Wi-Fi issues, but I use ethernet so I can’t say if it is an issue. Sometimes some of my Wi-Fi connected devices start to have issues after updates or just being connected for a long time. The best solution I can suggest to try is to reboot your router. That is a good thing to do every few weeks any way. I would unplug both the modem and the router for 20 seconds or so, then plug the modem back in and wait for it to finish restarting. Then plug in the router. That can help with a lot of Wi-Fi issues that sometimes occur. My iPad Air 2020 sometimes slows way down with Wi-Fi, and this brings it back to the same speed as the other devices.

Same here. Newest Apple TV. It was working very quickly and then the download speeds dropped dramatically. This has also happened on a second Apple TV 4.

Thanks for letting me know. This is on cable I assume? it was briefly symmetrical this morning but not in the evening now - perhaps it is my connection?

Yes, Spectrum cable. You should be able to run a speedtest on other devices such as your computer or your smart phone to verify your download speeds.

Thanks, yes, and it shows the download slow down on 2 Apple TVs (latest and a 4K model) that were just updated to 16. iPhone on 15.7 is fine. Same with the iPad - these are not on 16.

My iPhone has been updated to iOS 16 and it is measuring 350Mbps download speeds. My iPad is still on iPadOS 15, and is showing the same download speeds. I don't think ATV speed issues has to do with the tvOS version.

Thanks, it is still happening. Seems unusual, and a mystery.

Same thing happening here as of this morning but as far as I can tell they’ve been on tvOS 16 for over a week with no issue. Phones all have 200+ mbps -- I even buried the phone behind the tv stand and ran it and it was 200+. Both aTV4K boxes are under 20 mbps in the Speedtest app. Lots of buffering. The Wi-Fi strength icons are all at full strength inside the network settings. 2.4ghz isn’t any faster either if I switch to that.

The only thing different that I can think of is a relative is visiting here and has the only android phone in the family - but that shouldn’t have anything to do with it. Maybe it was just less noticeable or lucky with no buffering since the tvOS update.
