Bit of an odd one. I have a dev account and successfully installed the latest beta (1) on iphone and watch. Teh tvOS 17 beta appears on my apple tv (4k, not latest), and downloads fine. Step 1 Preparing also works, but Step 2 flashed up for about a second then reboots. It doesn't update.

Weirdly, having tried a few times I tried to install the tv0S 16 dev build through the same method and it worked fine. Still failed on 17 after though.

I haven't yet reset it, but I'm not sure there is much left to try. Any suggestions?

The exact same thing has happened to me. I have installed the beta on iPhone, iPad and Watch, but whilst the tv goes through the motions of installing, it stays in tvOS 16 afterwards

Y'all got further than I. I got everything updated except the tv. I don't even get offered tvos 17, just gives me the option of dev or public 16 betas.

Once you have selected the Developer Betas (16) restart and then you should see the iOS 17. worked for me.

I had the same problem; after repeated attempts, I reset the Apple TV and updated it to tvOS17 with no trouble, and voila, now I'm on tvOS17. To my surprise, it restored my apps to what it was, and I had to log in to all the apps individually, though. Cheers

Yes basically this, this and this. Same issue, same fix. Reset and Update would not work interestingly, but Reset seemed to fix, tvos17 then installed, and my apps were returns - I did use "setup with iphone".

To get the tvOS17 option to display, I had to toggle "get beta updates" off and then back on, after which the option appeared and the update installed successfully.
