When my phone is locked and I get a message, sliding to unlock takes me directly into the conversation (even if I leave it for a few minutes). Is there a tweak to take me to the conversation list instead? This is especially annoying with iMessages where the other person gets read receipts!

If you leave it for a few minutes, it will not take you to the conversation. It'll take you back to the last location before the screen locked. So if you were viewing the convo and then locked the phone, thats where youll return. To avoid this, hit the home button first before locking. If you dont want to swipe into the convo when the notification initally comes in, hit the lock button while the screen is lit up. Next time you go to unlock, the slide to unlock area will, again, return you to last location, not neccesarily into the conversation.

hmm I could have sworn that it always took me into the conversation even if the phone locked on a different screen. I'll test that out though.

But regardless, is there a tweak to make this the default behaviour even if you lock the phone while in a conversation?

bitesms has a setting where the app defaulted to conversation list view whenever it's opened.
This is, of course, assuming you're jailbroken. If not, you're outta luck as far as I know.

I just tested this - I was on the conversation list, locked the phone, received a message, waited a few minutes, then unlocked - the phone went to the conversation list but then quickly went into the conversation!

edit: it does work when you exit out to the home screen, though. My request for a tweak still stands!
