FWIW, Twitterrific does have a Mac client. I've haven't been too active on Twitter lately, but my feeling from a while back was that Twitterrific was the better iOS client (and Universal as well), while Tweetbot was the better client on OS X.

Edit: Again, never mind. I just checked the link and yeah, they are way out of date on the Mac version. I'm done paying lazy developers who can't keep their products in line with each other.

They also lose me on proper muting and some of the sync functions between iPad and iPhone alone don't work properly. Muffle is crap. The whole reason I mute people is so my timeline isn't cluttered by certain things at certain times, and with the muffle "feature" not only does it not sync properly between two devices, it also doesn't do anything. You'll still have a timeline full of "___________ was muffled" (can't remember word for word), which is just as obstructive and annoying as the tweets meant to be muted.

You might want to read this link as to why the developers have issues with updating Twitter apps in general : http://9to5mac.com/2014/11/25/twitterrific-5-twitters-war-on-developers/

Have read it, and it has nothing to do at all with the problem I have with devs like Tapbots. The reason for lack of an iPad update isn't a token issue. They've even said that themselves before.

Huh? You were talking about Twitterrific for Mac app. What does Tapbots have to do with it or their iPad app? I'm sharing the link as to why Twitterrific for Mac hasn't been updated in two years.

You must have not read the rest of the thread. I was replying to that person about why I am not interested in Twitterrific when he suggested it as an alternative due to my dissatisfaction with the laziness and attitude of Tapbots. IconFactory's lack of updates for Mac isn't really an issue, I was just addressing the claim that Twitteriffic is universal/on the same page on all it's platforms.
