Been a user of Tweetbot for a while now but to be honest I'm not liking the update especially after spending money on it.

Just can't put my finger on it, just don't like it.

Think I'm going to stick with the new Tweetings.

I bought the new Tweetbot, but removed from my iPhone it after a few days. I don't like to all white layout on my eyes, and I also don't like the round avatars. I wait for the update with a dark theme and will try again then. For now, I keep using Tweetbot 2.

I tried tweetlogix n didn't like that at all :(

If you don't mind me asking: Why not? Tweetlogix has a lot of functionality. Only drawback is that is has no notifications (you need Boxcar for that). Before I started using Tweetbot, Tweetlogix was my favorite twitter client.
But of course, everyone has their own preferences :) At this moment I don't like the all bright white of Tweetbot 3.

No problem paying again, HOWEVER...

While I don't have any problem paying for a new version (it seems only fair to pay people for the work they do) I do mind the loss of functionality. I deleted it and am sticking with the old version.

What I didn't like was the loss of being able to toggle from the status bar to my lists. (Yes, I do know you can do that on the bottom, but it makes more sense to me from the top) I also didn't like the circles, nor all the white space; Oh, and the font, didn't like that either.

It seemed I had to swipe a lot more or tap a bunch of different buttons to get to timelines and see replies to messages, tweetbot is just a heap simpler.

Ah, I see. I think you're right that Tweetbot has simpler actions. But Tweetlogix has some shortcuts too.
The new version of Tweetbot is even better in this regard.

Just one more go......

As I refuse to think that this is an inferior app than the last version I gave it another go to hopefully get used to it.

It lasted about 10 mins before it was again relegated out of my Notification Centre and into my "Hopeful of an Update" folder.

Why?

I clicked on the location option on a tweet prior to tweeting only for it to say I'm located in Flintshire, Wales when I'm actually residing in firk'in Cheshire.

Don't get me wrong, I've been and driven through Flintshire, Wales a few times in my life and it's a lovely place, very green and hilly but I can assure you I don't live there.

This probably isn't going to go down well but I feel any app which you have to pay for should be release with a trial version (as per PC and Mac programs) where they give you a one-off 28 days full version trial and after that time you either purchase or it stops working.

..... anyway, I've had my rant now.

All the Best, guys

I don't think that's the app's fault; it only gets data from Maps.

But if I go into maps it indicates the correct location.

Going to continue to use Tweetings 2, not let me down yet and it works and looks good.

Tweetbot 2 has so much more soul. This new version looks way too standard to have been released by such a usually creative developer.

Will stick to the old version for now.

I've been getting locations in another country even when using twitter web.. Pretty sure its not tweetbot ;)

It looks a lot like the official Twitter app to me, which doesn't warrant the repurchase.

official twitter app is missing so many key features for example for pic/video previews or mute filters those 2 features right there are enough for most to want to upgrade

really looking forward to seeing what the night time theme looks like...i love the twitteriffic feature of this

I used to get the same thing with Echofon and they couldn't explain to me why they had changed the location tagging method from exact location to set locations that aren't accurate.

I was hoping Tweetbot would change the method used but they didn't.

The official Twitter app ( that I prefer over Tweetbot & Echofon) does gather exact location though.

Tweetbot 3.1 looks good.

Previous tweetbot is better but I'll look forward to future tweetbot 3 updates. Also which was tweetbot 1?
