Tweets don't show up in Notification Center or on Lock Screen

I can't get tweets to show up in the NC or on the Lock Screen. Some apps do send notifications, for instance Week Cal and Pocket Universe.

But the Twitter app doesn't.

I have even tried setting up a separate Twitter account on the computer and followed it from the phone, but no tweets show up anywhere.

Any ideas? I've googled around but can't find much of direct assistance.

You do realise that the twitter app only shows you DMs or mentions in notifications, not everytime somebody your following tweets? Thank God, my notification screen would never disappear if it told you everytime somebody tweeted.

Your notifications will only show if someone replies to you or DM's you as noted below. Even then, it will only show up if it is from someone that you are actually following. You can change this option if you'd like. Go to the Twitter app and select the Me tab -> Settings -> notifications. From there select "From all" and it will pop notifications up anytime that anyone, whether you are following them or not, replies to you.

ok this same sort of thing happened with a friend's account only worse. He has had the account for years, uses it mostly on the computer. His account got locked and then after he unlocked it, his mentions/replies/tags didn't show up in any of his friends notifications when he tweeted them. please please someone help out if you can.
