IF you are using the Magic Keyboard with your iPad Pro - you're already there. It double's iPad Pro's thickness. We are just protecting the combo.Aaaaannnnnndddd we have a 5.5lb MacBook Pro 13" with 1 port.

Nice work! But a BrickBrick is what you might have - if your iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard combo falls to the ground - *without* additional protection. Just sayin'
Yes. MANY many customers love our BookBook. We wouldn't keep making them if there wasn't demand. In fact, our new BookBook Cover for iPad is a direct response to customer feedback asking us to make a case to hold *both* their iPad and attached Keyboard. But clearly BookBook isn't everyone's cup of tea. Thats why there are literally thousands of other case options - and memes... ;-)does anyone actually like these cases? They've been a bad meme since at least 2010. Also they impact thermals negatively.
Great ideas... thanks for the feedback! I hope we all are able to be 'out and about' more soon. Cheers.Pre-Pandemic I'd be all this as I would be out and about. I usually carry my iPad in a shoulder bag, so weight would be as much as an issue that others have pointed out. Also, if they offered custom book titles that would be this Brit. Lit. lover's dream![]()
If the overall dimensions are similar, BookBook Cover will still fit. Wouldn't it be cool if the same case can finally protect several generations of iPads? Fingers crossed.iPad's should be releasing soon. This is great.
Good point. We will post the weight of our BookBook Covers today. Look for it in our Specs. The specs page on the Twelve South site does not indicate weight so they appear to want to keep this info secret as did Apple with the Magic Keyboard.

You're either Bear Grylls or a high school librarian. Hmmm, yeah I'm going with the latter.
I have an older MacBook Air and older cover. It is not heavy at all. Just acts as protective cover is all.Now Introducing: More Weight
Nearly everything we consume is overpriced these days.Twelve South = overpriced
You are lucky! I know people who have cracked the screen for transporting a laptop in a backpack, and dropped iPad and damaged it too due to no cover. Because of the price of the Apple device, such as $999 plus tax and up for MacBook Air, I recommend to friends to ensure it with a case or cover of some kind.Never understood all of the coverings. One of the things I love about the iPad is the ability to use a product that is thin and lightweight. I have 3 different sizes of iPads and I don't use a case on any of them...just an Apple Smart Cover that I take off nearly every time they are in use. I use my iPads hard and in some rough environments too. And they have never received any damage worth noting. No case equals better thermal management, lighter weight, less bulk...everything the iPad was designed for!
As always, thank you for the laughs. It's much needed and every single time I look at this thread I start laughing. 😘
