'Twitter Blue' Subscription Announced, Launches in Canada and Australia First

Interesting, not worth it it but add a few more features then i might subscribe. I do tweet a lot.

I was hoping the article would have more details on these but unfortunately not

"Subscribers will also get access to perks, such as customizable app icons for their device’s home screen and fun color themes for their Twitter app"
 
I was going to subscribe if it was ad free. Which is mostly the reason I subscribe to some services anyway

This is going to fail. People who are ready to fork over money for a service that isn't video/audio based have some requirements

1. Professional features should be #1 like people who have millions of interactions / followers and need filtering & queueing / scheduling
2. Promise that they will not be tracked / sold out
3. No ads
4. Better support
5. Verified Status

Twitter isn't offering any of these things.

If Facebook had an option to be tracking and advert free for 2.99, I'd probably pay it tbh. The ability to hide categories in Marketplace (Property Rentals shows almost every 2nd category for me despite owning a house) would also be a massive bonus.

I don’t use social media, but I agree. The ability to edit a tweet should’ve been there from the beginning as a baseline feature.

Have you tried Aviary? How would you compare the two, if you have tried it?
 
I won't pay $3.50/month for nothing of value. I would pay $0.99/month to go ad free, maybe $1.99/month for ad free with added functionality.

I still am amazed people actually use Facebook. I haven’t logged on in 10 years.

The problem is, would you trust paid Facebook to really be tracking free? I wouldn't TBH.

Will get it to just yell at support about how Trending doesnt work and i click not interested on hundreds of things yet they keep coming back
 
Finally, Canada (and Australia) gets something before the rest of the world. 🎉

Hah I couldn't care less for twitter, but it's nice for Canada to be included in a launch for some kind of feature which does not include the USA.

Apple always stiffs Canada on many features and services.

Personally I only use it now for a work "Page", and for car groups (MX5). I have no "friends" on it, but there is literally no other place that offers the same level of availability for car parts and support all in one place. I'd imagine there are many other groups where people have "empty" profiles for the same purpose.

Here in the UK, Facebook Marketplace and associated sale groups have completely taken over from Gumtree which has become a mess with Paypal scammers, and eBay which is now taking 12.8% final value fee, with the possibility of getting a Paypal claim opened against you.
 
LOL! People need to get rid of Twitter not pay for it.
All they do is censor the truth a year before it gets leaked and becomes public knowledge 😂😂
 
Who would pay for being censored, ghosted and shadowbanned?

I gave up and quit ****ter after being put in time out about four times.
