Twitter doesn't use when clicking on notification

It is weird that even though I have the official twitter app from the App store when I click on a mention in the notification and it opens twitter in Safari and not in the twitter, is there a way to change this behavior?

Gruber tweeted about that issue this morning. My guess is that twitter will update their app and work up a remedy with Apple (they are partners after all).
