Finally! Peek is so useful for previewing links. I use it all the time in general on all sites.
Agree. I know a lot people still think 3D Touch is a gimmick, especially using features like Peek and Pop. But I use it quite a lot. But one of the apps I really wanted Peek and Pop to happen with, was Twitter. Strange that they didn't do this earlier. But better late than never, right?

I'll be using this a lot, that's for sure. It can be so handy, since you don't have to keep tapping tweets to see the comments for example, or to go all the way to a website and then having to go back again. It's much easier to just 'preview' it with Peek and let go of the screen to go back. It's a timesaver to me. :p

Err, why didn't they add it for DMs and

Yes! I was literally just saying to myself that they needed it (I tried to peek and pop DMs, which for some reason still isn't doing peek & pop).

Indeed. I often try pressing hard on a link or tweet in Twitter, because I'm already used to have 3D Touch in many of the apps on my iPhone. It bothered me that the experience wasn't really consistent because of this. Good to see that Twitter FINALLY added 3D Touch to their app. :)

I'm kinda actually tired of the recent trend where social media apps list absolutely nothing in their update change logs and instead include a witty sentence. If it weren't for MR, I probably wouldn't have known what was new until I accidentally stumbled upon it.

Not just social media apps, but many app developers are guilty of this. It comes across as lazy, in my mind. Do they not have enough respect for end users to detail out what has been changed? I think it's irresponsible of them not to explain, in reasonable detail, what is new or has been changed. Users should be able to make informed decisions.

Yes, Twitter and other app developers, we do read the release notes. Make them count, please!

US only update? Not available in AU even after the update.

You're not peeking and popping it right. :p

Have you read one Camera+ changelog? Those guys are really fun to read when there is an app update :D

Apple has really dropped the ball when it comes to making it easy for app developers to include 3d touch gestures in their apps.

Are you a developer? It's super easy as long as you've followed best practices for iOS development. Like, literally a couple clicks.

Sure am. My slant on this is that Apple should make it even easier than a couple of clicks and help users walk through code and upgrade to take advantage of 3d touch. Too many apps don't support it.

I'd much rather Apple allow me to determine the best use cases for 3D Touch in my projects than blanket-enable it everywhere. That's a recipe for disaster.

That's what I'm saying, Apple shows where the best use cases for 3D Touch are. I'm not talking about auto enabling everywhere.
