Its really annoying that 50% of apps have blue icons, and as a designer I find it hard to use apps that have bad icons. Twitter's app is not only blue, making almost my whole main page blue which i cant stand, but also its just terrible compared to the subtlety of tweetie's icon. GRR..

Kinda lame that they didn't make it an iPhone/iPod/iPad hybrid... I don't own an iPad :( not sure why I care. I'm on a Twitter break, realized how much of my time it was eating up.

This is why i don't jump on the bandwagon with these apps. Charged all of that money, and now the same app is free. Yeah, the money wasn't an arm and a leg, but people are getting for free, a product that until yesterday coated like $5.

That's a lot of loot for a simple app. Maybe they just figured that out?

Trashed app, no way to turn off that horrendous pop sound

Did you even look in the settings?

I have a hard time using apps with bad icons too. I love 2Do, but I had to change its icon to the one that Things uses before I'd put it on my main page. Tweetie's icon was perfect, but this one is awful. Even the stock Twitter 't' would have been a lot better than this.

DL'd it and already deleted it.

I much prefer the Twitterriffic interface and background.

APPARENTLY making a new icon that actually looks like twitter is too much for their "rebranding"!

Here, allow me to help you out Twitter!

I have to love Twitter's business model.

It is one step beyond google. Google is give everything away and put ads on it.

Twitter's model is give everything away.

Finding Settings page isn't all that trivial. One must first click "..." on the black toolbar, then scroll down to click "Accounts & Settings", then finally Settings button on the gray toolbar. Sounds easy, but inconsistent UI makes it confusing in reality. IMO, Settings should be a separate button on the "..." page and Accounts page should sport the same black toolbar for consistency.

It also isn't obvious how one goes back to other pages with black toolbar.

My other main complaint. I use lists heavily (breaking news list, traffic report list, and so on) and the app's support for list is quite poor to say the least. Lists should get a separate page of its own with "new" indicators.

And STILL no themes... Ugh.

This is pretty basic "upgrade" from 2.0 to a 3.0. The differences are very small. I'll be sticking with Twitteriffic for now.

No themes = FAIL

I've been using Osfoora. It's essentially just like Tweetie, but with themes and old school RT'ing.

Also: What does this mean for the desktop Tweetie? It hasn't been updated in eons so I'm not sure it matters - but I was just curious.

He said it'll continue.

Anyone find it a little annoying that every time you open the app, it goes to the last viewed tweet in the timeline, instead of scrolling to the top to view the newest tweets?

Actually, that's exactly how I'd want it. I want to read everything in order.

(For the same reason, I hate message boards that put newest messages first -- makes it hard to follow a conversation.)

Is there an easier way to see all those that you are following than hitting the more, then my profile, then following?

Is there another twitter app thats easier to see past tweets from those you are following?
